Some visa processing times have been affected and applications may take longer to finalize. For Visitors and Working Holiday Makers the processing time is calculated differently depending on when you applied. If you applied before the border reopened, then the processing time is calculated from the date you became eligible to travel. If you applied after the border reopened, then the processing time is calculated from the date you applied.

eVisitor (subclass 651)

1 . visit family or friends
2 . cruise or have a holiday
3 . undertake business visitor activities
4 . study or train for up to 3 months, in some circumstances

 1 . 25% of applications: Less than 1 day
2 . 50% of applications: Less than 1 day
3 . 75% of applications: Less than 1 day
4 . 90% of applications: Less than 1 day

Be a genuine visitor

You must meet our health requirement.

If you will be entering health care or hospital environments, you should apply for a Visitor (subclass 600) visa and complete the relevant health checks.

You must meet our character requirement.

If you have a criminal conviction in any country, you should apply for a Visitor visa (subclass 600) and provide evidence about your criminal convictions.

If you are granted an ETA, but we find that you provided incorrect information, your ETA may be cancelled.

If you stay in Australia for long periods or make frequent visits to Australia, we may ask you about your travel purpose next time you enter Australia. If you are found not to be a genuine visitor, your ETA may be cancelled.
